Keeps to the Barossa basics – nothing too fancy, let the fruit sing – and it shines. And the fruit, while definitely in the riper end of the spectrum, stars. The alcohol level – a generous 14.9% – is barely noted, such is the quality and structural definition and integrity of the Shiraz from Greenock, in the north of the Valley. Offers up an energetic mix of black fruits, spice, star anise, earth and chocolate. Good depth and concentration throughout beautifully delineated and presented. Not only boasts a sense of place but a sense of class.
