Very much a bold, fluent speaking Barossa Shiraz. Deep, rich and black hearted . . . and that’s just the colour. Marananga heavy spice to the fore together with super ripe black fruits, plum, aniseed, cedary oak, dusty earth and more. Everything is in overdrive, but it’s so nicely put together it carries it well with extra oomph and power through to the finish. Fine grained, persistent tannins bring the structure, visceral textural notes bring the middle palate warmth. Alcohol is noted with an equally warm finish. Always distinctly Marananga in style, richness, colour and sweet fruited dark intensity.
