Clairault Streicker Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Share

There is not a moment of hesitation if you are trying to identify where this wine is from. It’s Margs through and through with lifted red tulip, cassia and freshly picked blackberries. Alongside run crumbling red clay soils, granite and pencil wood. There is a sinew of fine tannins that provides a lovely chew with elongated lines of acidity that thrill. Fruit is youthful but well versed with oak and spice and is drinking like a charm right now, another 5-8 years in the cellar would see it transform once again into a new silhouette. For now it’s hard to find a single fault and why would you be looking, instead drink this with a slow cooked beef or pork stew and buttery mash. This exceptional drinking is absurd for the price.
