Claymore Blackbird Sangiovese 2023

Share

A core of redcurrants, raspberries, wrapped with soft licorice and tobacco leaf. There is a hint of ripe fig and cherry compote. They have kept this juicy and perky, with tannins plush and fine. Acidity driving the wine forward. Here is a Sangiovese that makes mid week pizza or meatballs more of an occasion. Thyme and touch of amaro bitters just in the finish, adding another facet of detail. Good value and an ideal party or bbq wine, maybe with chorizo or chilli snags.
