Twin Valleys Alpine Valleys Pinot Gris 2024

Share

A highly enjoyable wine that shows what’s possible with Pinot Gris. While perhaps not as complex as the Pinot Grigio, it more than makes up for it with concentrated and vibrant aromas and flavours: apple, peach, lemon, fresh honeysuckle and rose. The palate is salty, oily and zippy, with minerality giving it a sherbet-like feel in the mouth. Of the four wines tasted, it was the winner as the most enjoyable, though out of a solid lineup. I think it’s pretty fair to keep expecting big things from the Twin Valleys team as they’re already delivering in the sweet spot between quality and value.
