Colmar Estate Block 1 Pinot Noir 2022

The Pinot vines in Block 1 are a little older than Block 3, planted 32 years ago, and the resulting wine is more structured with fruit harvested late in the season to ensure ripeness. Pale garnet in colour, there are attractive Pinot Noir aromas; some undergrowth, red fruits, stemmy notes, dry herbs, delicatessen meats and raspberries. Fresh acidity through to a lovely lingering finish where florals and cherries continue to emerge. Very appealing, this has four to eight years ahead.
