A beautiful blend of Montepulciano, Aglianico and Negroamaro, the 2023 shows lovely fruit immediately upon opening the bottle and a deep purple colour that stains the glass. There’s abundant mulberry, boysenberry, black cherry and raspberry, with some savoury highlights coming from bramble and pepper, all very youthful. The palate has nice balance between bright acid and dusty tannins, and while it’s good as a sipper, it pairs really nicely with food.
