Devil’s Corner Tasmania Resolution Riesling 2023

Share

Tasmanian Riesling rocks! Too often it follows in the slipstream of Chardonnay, but it deserves more attention. Just look at Resolution Riesling from the Tamar Valley so plush in high aromatics in acacia, honeysuckle and apple blossom and revealing good depth of lemon, lime intensity, pear and guava rolled into some lifted peppery Thai basil herbal spice. That’s one generous, textural mid-palate right there with engaging additions of ginger. Tasmanian cool climate acidity, bright and deliciously assertive, seals the deal. This is one versatile youngster whether you wish to enjoy solo, have with Thai food (a good idea) or put away for some short-term ageing.
