Domaine Naturaliste Morus Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

There is a classic Bordeaux feel to this wine. It’s powerful but also tightly coiled with its best years clearly ahead. The score might also be a little low for the moment, but time will tell. Bright deep ruby in colour, there are robust aromas of pencil shavings, gravel and blackcurrant plus prominent cedary oak that dominates right now. The palate is then quite modern; dense with ripe fruit and sweet oak providing a fleshy, open knit feel before oak tannins arrive to support a long finish. It needs a little time to settle and then enjoy with roast Spring lamb.
