Double Oaks Chardonnay 2020

This classy Chardonnay from the Macedon Ranges shows such refinement and poise. The oak influence is minimal but important, contributing to the wine’s balance and cohesiveness. It was barrel fermented with about 50% wild yeast, so you start to get that immediately complex palate richness. White peach and nectarine provide the stone fruit influence and then a lightly roasted cashew character starts to emerge. A little vanilla bean provides the final piece to an excellent wine.
