Blueberries, redskins, and sweet spices are framed by a savoury backbone of crushed gravel and lead pencil shavings. It’s playful and unfazed by modern society—no office job for this blend; it’s more of a work-from-home-on-my-MacBook kind of wine. 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Shiraz, 11% Malbec, and 11% Petit Verdot. Fragrant and flirtatious, with mulberry-covered fingers, blackberry jubes, and plush plum pudding. The finish is lovely and long, with layers of iodine and bark. Chalky, moreish tannins give it structure, while a gentle alcohol warmth adds comfort. Pair with kangaroo pie, pheasant… or even a four and twenty.
A hopeless romantic for wine and food, Cyndal is nearing 15 years in hospitality while still (just) under 30.
