I must admit I’m surprised to be tasting a quality wine that is still available from this very good vintage. Anyway, I am and the good news for wine drinkers is that it is a classy offering that has moved into a zone of maturity you don’t normally expect at this price point. Leather, dark chocolate with deeper black fruits and a plush rich fruit cake character. Chalky tannins and a little oak cuddle and coax through to a focused finish.
