Flametree Margaret River Chardonnay 2023

Share

A textbook and downright exciting example of Margaret River Chardonnay. Brings the full personality of the region’s top white grape variety to the fore with its open, sunny disposition, citrus brightness and engaging textural appeal. Aromas of lemon zest, lime juice, preserved lemon, nectarine and almond meal. It’s one fully expressive Chardonnay to taste aided by a smooth mouthfeel and enhanced by lacy acidity. There’s an interesting, attractive spiciness, too, with cardamon and a touch of the exotic amid the celebration of all things citrus on the palate from lemon and grilled grapefruit to a touch of savoury preserved lemon. Lovely stuff. Will age well.
