Forrest Marlborough Riesling 2020

Share

Off-dry or dry? To an Australian Riesling drinker, this New Zealand Riesling at 4.5gL residual sugar, would be on the cusp of off-dry. Admittedly, it’s a fine distinction, one the Riesling carries well, together with some developing bottle age characters. The floral beauty of the aroma is off the charts in jasmine, honeysuckle, wildflowers, lemongrass, and ginger amid citrus and apple scents. Bottle age has brought with it a warm, arresting mouthfeel and concentration of spiced apple, lime, grapefruit and sweet honeyed flavour. Bright mineral acidity offers good balance.
