Handpicked Collection Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay 2022

A little riper on the nose, but not fleshy. Lifted some fruit – apricot blossom, just cut peach and fuzz. Subtle flint and light toast, this is a fruit-driven Chardonnay. The palate has a nice, rounded shape (thanks, Malo), and some delicious solids. Acid drives this along at a neat pace, and there is a great mouth-filling energy here. Plenty to love, and while first impressions ooze confidence and character, it’s the tapered and precise finish that compels. A charred, bitter peel note is the only distraction. Fab structure should give this a solid drinking window.
