Handpicked Collection Tasmania Chardonnay 2022

Share

Restrained aromas of cedar wood and nougat to start, before a huge unfurling of white grapefruit, lemon pith, nectarine skin, peach pulp and a lick of sea spray minerality. There’s some slivered almond, cinnamon and nutmeg in the mix, too, adding to an already complex aromatic profile. The palate is balanced and intense with restrained power. Grapefruit and lemon juice burst through the mouth, underpinned by salinity and with oak in support, all within a lovely creamy, pillowy texture. There’s a good lick of pithy phenolics and huge acidity bringing line and focus to a clean, long, saline finish. It’s delicious in its pithy, zesty and tensile aesthetic, with controlled oak and excellent power. A great release.
