Harvey River Estate Shiraz 2022

Share

Hails from the Geographe region and sandy soils so expect a medium bodied Shiraz, quite linear and finely textured. Brings an energy to the glass, flowing easily as it works its charm. There’s definitely a sense of place, too, with scents of briar, acacia, earth, bramble, sage and black fruits. It’s at one with its locale, its terroir, of the Aussie bush, bay leaf and acacia against a background rich in black fruit intensity and spice. Tannins are fine and well structured, oak melds well in its supporting role. I am thinking more immediate drinking pleasure than cellaring. This delightful Geographe Shiraz is ready to impress now.
