Henschke The Rose Grower Nebbiolo 2019

What a thoroughly gorgeous example of the native Piedmont variety Nebbiolo. It’s got a little Barbera as well but the Nebbiolo dominates. The tannin management of the fruit from this bio-dynamically managed vineyard is suberb. Has a beautiful mix of leather and spice with a richer dark chocolate and dried sage bush character. It was matured for 20 months in seasoned French oak, which has obviously contributed to the complete integration and seamlessness of the palate.
