Riversdale Estate Centaurus Pinot Noir 2022

Share

While the state of Tasmania is a single wine region, it is in vintages like 2022 where you can see the sub-regional differences. In parts of the state, it was the coolest and wettest season in many years. In southern Tasmania where Riversdale Estate is located at Cambridge, it was relatively dry, and it shows here in a beautifully expressive, textural Pinot. Concentrated in both aroma and flavour. There’s a lot to like from the first sip with its black cherry, red plum, gentle pepperiness, rose aromatics and woody spices. Oak is well managed and integrated.  The palate is plush, fine-grained and persistent. Smart viticulture and winemaking on show in what wasn’t an easy vintage.
