A blend of 59% Shiraz, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Merlot sourced from 60% Eden Valley and 40% Barossa Valley. Matured for 20 months in 20% new French oak hogsheads and 80% seasoned French and American oak. This is a beautifully judged blend that balances Barossa generosity with Eden Valley elegance. Aromatics lead with nutmeg and black pepper over a core of plum and blackcurrant, followed by savoury layers of char-grilled meat, coal dust, dried sage and bay leaf with air. The palate is cool-fruited and composed, showing vibrant dark berries wrapped in brown spice. Juicy and expressive, yet finely structured, with firm grainy tannins and bright acidity slicing through. A compelling interplay of savouriness and fruit purity, underpinned by balance and length.
