Hesketh Small Batch Chardonnay 2024

Sourced from two districts, the renowned sub-region of Piccadilly Valley as well as the less elevated Paracombe surrounds in the north of the Hills. There’s a lot going on here, with a heap of high-end winemaking in play: 100% whole bunch on the Piccadilly parcels, nine months in 25% new French barriques across the board, lees worked back and forth to bring out the wine’s flinty, match-strike characters. All up a complex style that celebrates great varietal flavour: grilled peach for instance, with some creamy nuttiness to fill out the palate. Punches well above its weight in terms of wine quality and great value.
