Hugh Hamilton Black Ops Shiraz Saperavi 2020

Share

Well it sure is broodingly dark in the glass and just like its name, Black Ops, could easily be disguised as something it is not. I urge you not to be fooled. The array of sappy blackcurrants and extracted red blood plums is well balanced by the spice hit that Saperavi provides. The ancient grape variety shows what it has learned over a long history on this planet. Sweet spices like cinnamon, studded cloves and roasted coffee beans leads into soft liquorice, dark chocolate, mulberry and sweet rolling tobacco. The dynamic acidity carries all these mouth-watering flavours for a long finish. It’s unique as Hugh Hamilton would have wanted and will be sure to have your guests asking ‘what is THIS we are drinking’?
