Jansz Tasmania Vintage Rosé 2017

This is a stunning Tasmanian Sparkling wine that delivers all the complexity and detail found in the best Champagnes while showcasing the quality of the 2017 vintage. At its core is superb balance and subtlety. It’s a pale onion skin pink colour and instantly launches into understated strawberry and rose petal fruits blended in with layer after layer of French pastry complexity with a touch of toasted brioche. It follows with a dry, creamy, silky palate with bright acidity underpinning powerful yet restrained fruit before a very long and fine finish. It walks the tightrope of power and grace perfectly. I tasted this again and again over a couple of days and it delivered time and again which suggests it will also age extremely well. This is astonishing value for money.
