Jericho Single Vineyard Bracken Vineyard Shiraz 2023

Share

This captures the essence of this vineyard within McLaren Vale. It was made with wild yeasts in open, small fermenters, so it’s following a largely traditional technique. Interestingly, the oak is 60% new French for about 14 months, and yet you would hardly consider this excessively oaky. The fruit has absorbed it and allowed it simply to add to the overall profile and structural integrity. The tannins are fine and chalky, and the fruit weight perhaps more in the medium zone of red berries and spices. It has a nice leafy finish and is a comfortably attractive wine.
