Seppelt Hundredweight Hill Shiraz 2019

Share

Heathcote Shiraz for under $20 – you’re dreaming right?  Well no, and from the house of Seppelt and Chief Winemaker Adam Carnaby, this wine is an absolute treat, not to mention a bargain. Quite deeply coloured it shows a nice combination of generous ripe fruit plus that brooding, savoury side that makes Heathcote such an exceptional region for shiraz. Dark berry fruits are laced with white pepper spice, cocoa and blackberry plus that baked stone edge often seen in Heathcote. It’s then dry, juicy and packed full of flavour with good length and tannins that will help it to drink well for five years. A bargain Heathcote red at only $12.99.
