This opens with grilled nectarine, toasted pecans and butter on toast before some aeration fills things out with fresh white nectarine pulp, peach, Meyer lemon and ruby grapefruit. There’s some emergent peach blossom floral lift, too. The palate follows suit in the flavour spectrum, with a toastiness underpinning fresh nectarine and peach notes again, with Meyer lemon, pithy white grapefruit and a subtle nutty nuance in support. There’s some preserved lemon acidity to frame up and freshen the finish. More concentration would elevate this, but at a price point of $35, this is good drinking now.
