While the Ninch fires on all cylinders right from the get-go, the Citrea is slow to unravel – but once it does, it will seduce you. There are beautiful characters of lemon, peach, apricot, marzipan and jasmine flower that make smelling it a delight, particularly as these notes reveal themselves as it breathes. The real magic is on the palate, which becomes oily after a while and is brimming with energy. While I thought it was showing really well now, I think the Citrea will be even better with a few more years behind it, and I’d confidently cellar it for at least five more years.
