Knee Deep Birdhouse Chardonnay 2024

The team uses some barrel fermentation with French oak to enhance the texture and complexity of this fine Margaret River Chardonnay. The colour is a shimmering lemon/gold, while the nose weaves through aromas of grapefruit, nectarine, spices, melon, beeswax and oatmeal. There is gentle oak integration here providing a hint of nuttiness. Good acidity runs the length. This is a fresh wine of medium length for drinking over the next six to eight years.
