That colour! Shimmering purple-red hues draw the eye and this smooth, supple and aromatic Cabernet Franc does the rest. Dried herbs to the fore on the bouquet with green pepper, jalapeño, anise, mocha chocolate and blackberry, black cherry fruits. Finely tannin-ed, the palate offers a mesh of fruit, herbs, spice and gentle oak. On the riper side when picked, it’s a fuller, more expressive version of Cabernet Franc which is highly appealing, especially when it comes to matching a range of foods. You don’t often see Cabernet Franc solo and it works a treat.
