Little Giant Buttery Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2024

Love the name here. Nothing subtle at all. Just a good old-fashioned clarion call to the silent throngs who loved those early, richly flavoured, oak-embalmed styles of Chardies. We do not see them very often these days, but it is a question regularly asked – where have they gone. Well, here is one. The colour is deep yellow. This is a big, full-flavoured style with some toasty oak evident, along with notes of lemongrass, cashews, melon, peach and apricot kernel. This is more forward in style than some, but the texture is supple and appealing. A wine of medium length with a gentle fade, this is for drinking over the next year or two.
