Luigi Vico Barolo Prapò 2016

Share

A top vintage and great Serralunga Cru from a rising star – Barolo does not come much better than this. But it’s a seriously structured wine and needs time to come around – don’t even bother touching it for at least five years, and preferably longer. Right now it’s a picture of aged meat, tar and ground spice aromas all tightly wound in a compact ball. The palate showcases a deeply set structure of immense tannins and powerful fruit, all beautifully balanced and finishing with impeccable length. Everything is in its perfect place – it just needs time, and lots of it.
