Petreto Podere Sassaie 2019

Share

A blend of 60% Semillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas of lemon wax, pear, subtle melon and hay upon first look, followed by brine, bath salts, and lemon curd plus a smoky nuance with air. The palate holds a nice balance of fruit and savoury, mirroring the nose with lemon, pear, lemon wax, brine, and citrus rind bitterness. There’s ample texture and some phenolic edge adding interest, with nice carry through the palate thanks to a lively acid line. Quite long length, in fact. An interesting wine with a waxy savoury edge adding intrigue.
