The Syrah, Sangiovese and Merlot blend comes from Mt Torrens. 50% whole bunch and 30% intracellular fermentation for 48 days. It spent 8 months in ancient French hogsheads 15+ years old. This is an example of thinking outside the box and being malleable to the seasons. In a vintage with lower yields the varieties have been blended to achieve optimum quality and an entirely new style from LVDO. Look, it’s not a shy wine. There is sage leaf, ancho chilli and green peppercorn. So too are Bing cherries, ripe tomato vine and raspberry. Soft and plush tannins with a direct line of acidity. It’s crunchy and bright with a thread of herbal nuance. Drink now. This is perfect for a big bucket of chicken wings and mates that make you smile.
