Mada Oak Hill Riesling 2025

Share

From a north facing site east of Murrumnateman, 30 year old vines have weathered through shale, quartz and veins of limestone. Fermented in steel and ceramic vessels. Desert lime and kiwi flesh. Umbel of elderflower and Granny smith apple aromas. There is pumice and blue stone rocky undertones. Soaring acidity is tapered by its innate citrus fruit intensity and some kefir creamy mid palate notes. Bone dry with a moreish and desirable character, this is linear and full of electric energy, unique to the site and will hold its energy well over the next 6-8 years. If drinking now go for just seared and wobbly scallops, the sweetness and purity of flesh will play nicely with this cool climate, chiselled Riesling.
