Maretti Chianti 2020

Share

A little step back in time here to the Chiantis of old. Chianti made a name for itself with mid-weight, food-friendly, dark cherry scented wines that were made for a good time and not a long time, which gave a little Italian style to every table. This newly bottled version is bright and fresh – juicy cranberry and red cherry fruits with a little baked earth/terracotta sneaking in. It’s then quite supple and fleshy – darks fruit, tobacco and dried herbal flavours providing an attractive savoury edge. It’s the ultimate takeaway pizza red.
