The name of this wine won’t mean anything if you know nothing about basketball (like me), but if you like Riesling that’s a bit different, then this is one to try. And by “different”, I mean that this is one of the most savoury Rieslings I’ve ever had. It starts with enticing aromas of lemon, lime and peach, before chalk, straw and a dominant note of fresh asparagus overtake. It has a lovely, full mouthfeel which is aided by zippy acidity and zingy minerality. It’s great with cheese but also pairs really nicely with anything spicy or tangy.
