Glacial? It’s a reference to the northern Alto Adige wine region of Italy which resides in the Dolomite Alps. Grapes are a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Müller-Thurgau. The style is approachable in both flavour and price, and it comes with a most lively personality. Catches the eye in light copper-pink shades. Arrives in a flurry of strawberry, cherry, nougat, macaroon. Clean as a whistle and fresh. Dry, crisp in acidity and bright in bubbly action wrapped around pure summer fruits, light florals and gentle confection notes. A good linear, refreshing sparkling Rosé. It offers the kind of subtlety that aids food matching versatility at the table.
