Mitolo Jester Grenache 2023

Share

Mitolo’s source vineyards are at the southern end of the McLaren Vale region in the Sellicks Hill district, close to the Gulf St Vincent waters – the locals know it as Whites Valley. Everything about this Grenache is suggestive of the variety in its richer and riper styling. The colour is ruby-esque, the nose tells of fresh grape skins, and an often sensed flesh and blood lip character. Flavours are powerful yet still in the realms of crimson cherry and plum, with a sticky palate feel, grape tannins encouraging a lip smack in the finish. A more robust style while staying true to the variety’s finer points.
