Munda Kaurna Country Syrah 2021

Blewitt Spring Syrah, average vine age 25-50 years.  8000 bottles.  It’s a much heavier bottle than the others in this portfolio, but that’s likely due to the vintage.  A resplendent nose poised and serious yet with excitement brimming from the core.  Blackcurrant, wood spice, raspberry pip, and salted Dutch liquorice keep molten dark chocolate company.  Silky smooth on the palate, tannins are firm and plush, while acidity is fresh as a daisy. This is effortless and a fantastic expression of place and variety.  If you can detect oak here, it’s firmly in the background.  Persistence is key, with a cluster of exotic spice and plum skin lingering for a sizeable conversation.  Keep exploring the depth and diversity of flavour on offer, and your curiosity will be rewarded as there’s much to seek out.
