Nuiton-Beaunoy Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune 2022

Share

The growers of Nuiton-Beaunoy are members of one of the few co-operatives in the Côte d’Or region in Burgundy. Their wines are produced at the Cave des Hautes-Côtes. A hot vintage to be sure in 2022 and so expect some lush fruit characters – they’re here in spades. Aromas of citrus, nectarine, peach, honey and gentle oak spice. Dense and packed in flavour across the palate with a definite savoury Chardonnay feel, a little creamy, a little nutty. There’s flavour aplenty in bruised apple, leatherwood honey, honeysuckle, lantana and preserved lemon. Acidity is holding on in the rush of ripe fruit, but this is a wine for earlier drinking rather than one to be holding on to.
