Cherry cola immediately leaps from the glass with a lashing of candied fennel seeds – both sweet and spicy. After a few minutes in the glass, it ups the sultriness with rose petals and the new car smell of fresh leather seats. Silky and juicy on the palate with fruits of the forest and savoury black olives. Tender tannins offer structure without being drying while nutty oak and a pine needle savour complete the picture.
