It is far from usual to see a 15% ABV Adelaide Hills Shiraz, rarer still to see a 10-year-old Hills museum release Shiraz. Here they are – one and the same – and it’s looking mighty smart. Speaks of its Hills’ home with those arresting woody spices, bay leaf and violet florals married to dark fruits, earth, smoked smallgoods. Looking pretty youthful altogether, carried well by spritely savoury tannins. Carries its age very well. A touch of alcohol heat to close.
