Penna Lane Watervale Riesling 2024

Oh wow, this is a classic Riesling from Watervale in the Clare Valley. Fine yet intensely powerful and precise. Minerally floral notes on the nose with a slaty wet pebbly character that is pure Riesling. The palate is fine, with a lancing fine acid that drives it through to a very long finish. A degree of palate tension gives it such an expressive feel while also lightly lemon-scented and flavoured. Outstanding.
