Piedra Negra Reserve Malbec 2017

Share

WINNER of a Winepilot Trophy for the greatest value wines in Australia.

This is an Argentinian Malbec which is exclusive to ALDU with some serious international street credibility. It is made by Francois Lurton, a fourth generation winemaker whose family have over a century of experience in Bordeaux. It is also from one of the cooler regions for Malbec in Argentina, the Uco Valley. Put that together and you’ve got an almost elegant version for Argentinian red wine.

It is deeply coloured, as Malbecs tend to be, and it shows layers of generous violet, ink and fruit pastille aromas. It’s also plush and rich; a big hearty wine with impact that delivers plenty of true Malbec character. Great value and the perfect everyday red if you like the big Argentinian Malbec style.
