Pimpernel Vineyards Whole Bunch Shiraz 2019

Share

The Pimpernel winemakers went in search of power and intensity. They found it. The role of 25% whole bunches with stems, cannot be dismissed here, after all, they feature in the wine’s name. Whole bunches can bring both fragrance, strength and tannin firmness to a wine. The scent is an immediate and obvious beneficiary: loganberry, bramble, black fruits, cedary dusty oak, undergrowth. A generous world of flavour awaits carrying smoked meats and savoury overtones, cigar box, cassis and ripe, black fruits and chocolate. This has boldness supported by chewy tannins, finishing long with a sweet, insistent dash of oak.
