A wine with perfume that carries far and wide with its ethereal nature. Pomegranate, rose bud and lavender. There is a heady waft of cassia bark, dried orange rind and moroccan spice. Cigar smoke and dried mushroom that draws you in, this is mystical and magical in its scent. Tannins are lacey and capture your attention with long lines of fine acidity and persistent power. It is almost Nebbiolo-like in its structure and height, allowing for a good number of years to develop further. A wine you won’t forget anytime soon and would earn its right on any fine dining table. Save the whole roast duck for this one, or cellar for another 5-6 years further. A wine to watch for its merit may just continue to exceed in due course. For now those tannins are still just fitting into place.

She has been nominated for the Good Food Guide Sommelier of the Year award on three occasions and claims that her experience as a Len Evans scholar as one of the highlights of her career.
