Pipers Tasmania by Pipers Brook Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019

Tasmanian Pinot Noir is Australia’s new holy wine grail – everyone wants it and value is hard to find. This wine is from Pipers Brook Vineyard – one of the first on the block in the Tamar Valley and is a rare bargain for wines that are in very high demand.

Pale cherry red in colour, it offers beautifully fragrant and youthful fruits with a powerful line of red cherry and strawberry plus a spicy kick. It is then dry, quite fleshy and mouthfilling for cool climate pinot noir with generous beetroot and raspberry flavours now lifted by some attractive earthy complexity. The fruit is concentrated and has a delicate backbone of supple, silky tannins that make it perfect for drinking young. This is a drink now pinot done very well and best enjoyed with sausage rolls or the vegetarian equivalent for optimal enjoyment.
