Pirie Millésime Prestige Rosé 2023

A gorgeous peach skin blush starts the experience of this special release. Fresh strawberries, pink grapefruit and lemon curd greet you on the nose. As it opens in the glass, it becomes a stroll through a destination rose garden – the intoxicating perfume of, almost impossibly perfect, blooms. The blend is 64% Pinot Noir (including that added for colour) and 36% Chardonnay. Made using the traditional method with 18 months on lees and Pinot Noir added with dosage to achieve the seductive hue. There’s beautiful harmony of flavour with plush berries, white peach and brioche, lifted by an elegant bubble and bright acidity. A crunchy, chalky minerality provides engaging contrast to a billowing silky texture. It finishes long, and with just a whisper of food friendly tannin structure.
