Poacher’s Ridge Single Estate Marsanne 2022

There are a few ways you can treat this Rhône variety. You can go down the leaner and lighter route with no oak, resulting in a wine that generally takes a little time to reveal its best. Or you can do some barrel fermentation and use a mix of new and used oaks to bring a richer complexity in the first years with that potential to age unchanged. This one gets the oak treatment with a lemon minerality that is so appealing. Yet that textural feel from the oak is a stunning addition. Crisp fine acidity and a very long finish.
