Podere Brizio Rosso di Montalcino 2018

Share

A hugely impressive Rosso di Montalcino that tops many Brunellos so offers great value for money. It is also a big, rich style – sour cherry, florals, dried herbs and tobacco with some baked earth and cedar from time in oak. It is then quite firm on the palate with plenty of acid and tannins to support that high quality fruit although it is still a tight right now so needs a couple of years to flesh out. Then enjoy with gamey dishes, such as rabbit, or flame-grilled meats to bring out its savoury side.
